What Happy
Students & Parents Say
"Radvin is an amazing physics tutor. I reached out to him in November last
year as per a recommendation from a friend as she said that he was the
best tutor she has ever had. She was in fact correct - he most definitely is! I
was struggling in my physics course and Radvin ensured that was not the
case just after a few sessions. He is very organized, patient and kind. He
takes the time to truly explain all topics. He will explain all
theories/concepts in great detail, does many example questions and
always asked if I understood what he explained. If I didn’t understand a
specific concept, he would explain it in another way - I really appreciated
his ability to adapt to my learning style and understanding. I did not have a
great understanding of physics before Radvin; I can now say that he has
helped me develop a stronger foundation in physics. Not only were his
tutoring sessions very helpful - he always made them fun and engaging. In
addition, I was always appreciative of the annotated and chapter notes he
sent right after our tutoring sessions. I truly have no comments or opinions
of how Radvin could have improved our tutoring sessions - he is very
efficient and a wonderful tutor!"

"The meetings were extremely helpful. I was hoping to get 75+ but it ended with 93 which was impossible without your tutoring. Honestly, I haven't seen any tutor in any course as knowledgeable as you are.
You know what you are talking about. You know how to start and teach the topic. Your sample practice questions from other textbooks were definitely helpful. It's difficult to find a question that you don't know the answer."

"I really appreciate all your help. My daughter was thinking to drop the course after failing the mid-term. With your help and the confidence you and your tutoring gave to her, she could pass the course with 74, which was amazing. I am very happy that I contacted you before giving up against her decision of dropping the course."

"Getting 96 without your help? No way! You are amazing. You are a master of Physics. The way you link the concept to the daily real-life experiments is unbelievable and really helpful. It helped me a lot. After having a couple of tutoring sessions with you, I felt I didn't need that actual course meeting.
I love the way you use anything around you, pen, book, calculator, water bottle, Earth globe, etc., to explain the problem. I definitely recommend you to all my friends."

"The meetings were incredibly helpful in understanding the course. I found it particularly helpful that they allowed me to ask questions about content that I didn’t understand during lectures and we could build on these ideas. Working through assignment problems was also useful as they allowed me to develop tools in order to solve similar physics problems. Overall, the quality and efficiency of the meetings were quite high.

Some pros of the tutoring sessions were the problem-solving questions, theory questions, discussion, visual aids (drawing on the computer while speaking), and advice on how to better take midterms/quizzes."

- C. D.
"I found the meetings helpful in understanding the course material. I like how we went over key concepts before we dived into problem-solving. We also covered many concepts in a short amount of time which was beneficial as my overall schedule this term was time restrictive.

I felt comfortable asking you questions and you always answered them in a clear manner. I also felt more reassured in which concepts I understood and it was made clear which concepts I could improve in."

"The lessons I had with you were instrumental to furthering my understanding of physics 1028a, and I don’t think I would have got an A+ without them. You teach very methodically and it was a style that worked well for me.

The primary benefit of your tutoring was that you were extremely familiar and knowledgeable with the questions types in physics courses. It allowed you to distill down the material to the essential skills and teach the tricks to look out for come assessment day."

- A. N.
"The meetings were extremely helpful for me in understanding the course material, especially since it was the first semester of the first year, you really helped me to understand physics. It is a very difficult course to understand, and you made me understand it so much that I began to acquire a liking for physics, which is amazing. So thank you for that.

I think that all the notes that you composed, along with the examples we work through together were extremely helpful and some of the main reasons why I was able to understand the content I was learning. These methods were very effective."

- A. L.
"our meetings were extremely helpful in understanding the course. I honestly do not think I would have passed the midterm or quizzes if it was not for our sessions.

I really liked how you provided the notes of the important points from the textbook as it was much easier for me to then go through it and obtain an understanding of the material. I also like the conceptual questions and then the practice problems that you provide. I think you explain the solutions very well and I always liked the drawing that you included to provide a visual explanation.
Overall, thank you so much for your help this semester, I really appreciate all the work you put in to help me succeed."

- B. N.
"Our meetings were always very helpful and they cleared up most of the confusion I had going into the meeting.

I think an obvious pro is that you are a really knowledgeable tutor, and not only do you go through the process of calculations but you also focus on explaining the reasoning behind each step. Also, I really liked how you were able to re-explain tricky concepts from lectures that I struggled with... I always found that I understood the lecture material much better after your explanations."

- N. Sh.
"The meetings were helpful. I particularly struggled with practice so even just seeing problems as regularly as we did, helped during the semester.

The practice was definitely representative of what was on the exams and I was definitely more comfortable answering questions than I would've been if I were to have done the course alone."

- D. P.
"I really appreciate your teaching; it was the best tutoring I had. I would definitely recommend you to my peers. The in-depth formula analysis really helped me to further understand the concepts."

- L. L.
"The pros of your tutoring sessions in my opinion were being able to get any questions answered that I wouldn’t be able to get answered as efficiently if I did not take these sessions. I found it difficult to get much physics help from external sources so I am glad I took these sessions for that reason"
